Context
Some things are worth protecting. The beit el-Meem site needs a place for its members to communicate safely.
What is the problem and its effects?
The beit el-Meem site is public. The only place to ask questions is the site chat or the hotline. There is no place for direct online communication between the members, and a public one is not safe enough in the current arab community.
Current state
No private online space for community chat about LGBT issues
Proposal for solution
To create a 2FA (password + validated phone number) protected site, that will include:
- Message Boards (question-answers format, and topic forums. Think โTapuz formusโ) - these will allow direct and distributed communication
- Event registration
- Back office panel
- (*undecided) - Volunteer managment
Constraints
- High security standards is a must
- Only country codes from Israel and Palestinian authority
- Cellphone number is a must for personal liability to written matter
OUT OF SCOPE
- Authentication methods for user credability
- Automatic content screening
Metrics for success
- Number of signed users
- Message Board usage
- Event registration
ย
Technical requirements
- 2FA registration and login - forced
- URL under Wix or as a redirect
- Message Board modules - allowing admin to create and remove forums, and specific posts and replies
- Event registration - enable seperate link for each event
- (*undecided) - Volunteer managment module
