Context

Information about the Org: HaAguda Le’maan Ha’Lahatab Be Israel - known commonly as theĀ Aguda, is an IsraeliĀ non-profit LGBTQ rights organization; They provide a range of professional services such as mental support, legal counseling, family mediation, assistance to refugees and immigrants, and assistance to any victim of discrimination or hatred on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. The Aguda focuses on three main sectors:
  1. Social and legislative impact
  1. Individual’s rights and services
  1. LGBTQ / Pride Localization
As part of the third sector, the team works to build and strengthen local LGBTQ communities throughout the country and to change policy in the municipal arena, in order to meet the needs of community members in the local areas and to strengthen the sense of security of every LGBTQ person in his/her location.

What is the problem and its effects?

Today, the Aguda works with a CRM (Tuci) that doesn’t serve this process well and 10/12 months every year are spent on manual processing and identification of the municipals Pride Rating; Their central focus in on the Pride Index that is currently gathered through different systems and the analysis and conclusion steps are time consuming and disorganized.
The pride index in local authorities measures the attitude of selected local authorities towards the LGBTQ community, with the aim of improving the quality of life and the sense of security for LGBTQ people in the urban area.
Enter the data of the pride index in the local authorities in which authorities that promote action for the gay community and are supported by the association were selected.

Current state

Currently, the Aguda uses a CRM system (Tuci) for managing their operations, but this system does not serve the Pride Localization process effectively. As a result, 10-12 months of the year are spent on manually processing and identifying municipal Pride Ratings. The organization gathers the Pride Index data through various systems, but the analysis and conclusion steps are time-consuming and disorganized.

Proposal for solution

The proposed solution is to develop an automated Pride Index Process/System that will streamline the data gathering, analysis, and reporting process. The system will include the following components:
  1. Data Collection: The system will collect Pride Index data from different sources, including surveys, social media, and other relevant sources. The data will be automatically updated and stored in a centralized database.
  1. Data Analysis: The system will analyze the data using machine learning algorithms to identify patterns and trends in the Pride Index data. The analysis will include factors such as policies, events, and initiatives related to the LGBTQ community.
  1. Reporting: The system will generate automated reports based on the analyzed data. These reports will provide insights into the municipal Pride Ratings and help the Aguda make informed decisions about their Pride Localization activities.
Assumptions
  1. The system will be able to collect and analyze data from all relevant sources.
  1. The machine learning algorithms used for data analysis will be accurate and reliable.
  1. The system will be user-friendly and easy to navigate.
  1. The system will be scalable to accommodate future growth and changes in the Pride Localization process.
Constraints
  1. The system must comply with all relevant privacy and data protection laws and regulations.
  1. The development of the system must be completed within a specific budget and timeline.
OUT OF SCOPE
The following items are considered out of scope for this project:
  1. The development of a new CRM system.
  1. The management of local Pride events and initiatives.
  1. The provision of mental support, legal counseling, family mediation, or other similar services.

Metrics for success

The success of the automated Pride Index Process/System will be measured by the following metrics:
  1. Reduction in manual processing time for Pride Localization activities.
  1. Increased accuracy and reliability of Pride Index data analysis.
  1. Improved decision-making based on insights from the automated reports.
  1. User satisfaction with the system.
  1. Adoption rate of the system by the Aguda staff.

Technical requirements

The following technical requirements must be met for the automated Pride Index Process/System:
  1. The system must be able to collect data from various sources, including surveys, social media, and other relevant sources.
  1. The system can use machine learning algorithms or classic algorithms for data analysis.
  1. The system must generate automated reports based on the analyzed data.
  1. The system must be user-friendly and easy to navigate.
  1. The system must be scalable to accommodate future growth and changes in the Pride Localization process.
  1. The system must comply with all relevant privacy and data protection laws and regulations.
